Because I am a travel advisor, I often get asked, “where should I take my family this year?” And while there are plenty of fabulous destinations, if you are looking for warm weather and pure luxury – why not try Mustique? Especially since the weather is perfect during the winter and spring holidays!!
Many have not considered (or even heard of heard) Mustique for their getaway, but it is conveniently located in the Southern Caribbean and can be reached via a quick flight from Barbados or St. Lucia. This works wonderfully for families because you can spend a few nights in these amazing locations while at the same time, break up the flights for the little ones. The thing that makes Mustique both unique and fabulous for families is that most of the island is comprised of villas!! You can find a villa any size to fit your family and guests.

While some may be weary of renting a villa (thinking they will have to do all the work and it wont be as relaxing as a resort), most find a the villas to be more convenient and at least equally, if not more, relaxing. They come fully staffed, so you can unwind while your kids can run around the yard, splash in the pool, and get as rowdy as they’d like without interfering with other guests. Private chefs can also be arranged so you can ensure that each meal is exactly what you and your children enjoy!!
Family Fun in Mustique
Even though Mustique is a smaller island, there are plenty of activities to keep your whole family busy – tennis, diving, kayaking, sunset cruises or even picnics on the beach (compliments of your villa’s staff)! For the more adventurous travelers, you can charter a boat for deep-sea fishing or try your hand at horseback riding. And of course, there are plenty of water activities for your enjoyment.
