The Suite Life at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas

You wouldn’t think a  trip to a tropical paradise with kids would be paradise, but we were in for a surprise. We arrived at the Ritz-Carlton in beautiful St. Thomas with everything in tow – the kids and all their gear and were greeted with attentive hospitality from the friendly staff.  With our complimentary adult refreshment in-hand, we were whisked away to our Club Level Suite via golf cart. As the bellman unloaded our mound of luggage, we checked out the spacious suite. It was plenty big for the kids and their stuff – toys, stroller, high chairs, and cribs.

We highly recommend the The Ritz-Carlton Club® Level because of the personalized service and attention to detail that are the hallmarks of The Ritz-Carlton. Club Level accommodations include 55 ocean view guest rooms, 15 one-bedroom Executive Suites, three 1,850-square-foot Presidential Suites and the opulent top-floor Ritz-Carlton Suite.

The Great Bay

All of the Club Suites at this resort in the U.S. Virgin Islands have unobstructed ocean views and private balconies. The views are breathtaking!

Another fantastic feature of the Club Level is the Lounge area where food is served all day long. It’s the perfect place to grab a quick breakfast or small lunch with the kids so you don’t have to go to a restaurant for a sit down meal. We all know how challenging meals can be with toddlers and preschoolers! The meals are included with the room so there is no extra expense. Best of all is happy hour – a happy mom makes for a happy family!

Overall, we enjoyed to two sprawling pools everyday, easy access to the beaches of Great Bay and Coconut Cove, and the extensive Aquatic Center where you could do everything from rent snorkeling gear to paddle boats. The kids were constantly entertained! We even took a day trip to St. John on the Lady Lynsey Catamaran, which I highly recommend. The crew was hospitable and knowledgeable and what better way to experience the turquoise waters of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Another plus about traveling to the U.S. Virgin Islands is that you don’t need passports for you or the kids. One less thing to worry about while packing up an entire family for vacation! We loved St. Thomas and will definitely go back… even with the kids!
